I hope you have your party hats on, because it’s that time again! That’s right! Weekly Album Release Party time! *insert bumpin’ party music here*
Here are next week’sย releases and it looks like it’s gonna be another big week!
- The Black Dahlia Murder – Deflorate
- Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats – Meet the Meatbats (Chad Smith is one of the most talented drummers in the game and is the drummer for the obscenely popular Red Hot Chili Peppers, so this should definitely be worth checking out!)
- Drake – So Far Gone (I mentioned Drake in my review of Colin Munroe is an Unsung Hero album, though not very positively. He’s a very popular up-and-coming rapper, though, so give him a chance for yourself!)
- Every Time I Die – New Junk Aesthetic
- Ace Frehley – Anomaly (Ace Frehley is KISS’s ex-guitarist … I wonder what to expect of this album!)
- Kyle Hollingsworth – Then There’s Now (Kyle Hollingsworth is from the band String Cheese Incident)
- Megadeth – Endgame
- Kid Cudi – Man on the Moon/The End of Day
- Muse – The Resistance
- Ryan Starr – 11:59 (Channeling Sugar Ray, perhaps? Giving himself a little more leeway perhaps?)
- Thrice – Beggars (One of my favorite bands! Will definitely be looking into this one!)
- Uncle Kracker – Happy Hour
- Shadows Fall – Retribution
- Pete Yorn/Scarlett Johansson – Break Up
- Nelly Furtado – Mi Plan
- Q-Tip – Kamaal the Abstract
So there you go, ETSers! Looks like this week’s releases have a little bit of a metal lean (as opposed to a gangsta lean) with Megadeth, Every Time I Die, The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadows Fall and Thrice (who have been known to be pretty hardcore back in the day) releasing on September 15th.
Be sure to check your local record/mp3 store for these releases and others!
Also, don’t forget that you can go to AOL’s Listening Party to hear select albums in their entirety the Monday before they’re released!
