After 21 long years ofย getting their shit together, Shit Robot finally released their debut album, From The Cradle to the Rave, produced by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy.
Today’s free download is Shit Robot’s “I Found Love.” For a second, “I Found Love” sounds like Daft Punk were involved, but then the deep soul-full voice comes in: “I found love/I found luh-ove/In the discotheque.” The bassy beat and wuah-wuah synthesizer keep the vibe mellow while still forcing you to move. The last half begins to get pretty airy, literally while higher-pitched synths wash in. This track is definitely a keeper!
