As the resident baby of EnterTheShell.com, I thought I’d chime in about the recent events from a different perspective.
I was born in the mid-80’s and my family wasn’t very into music. In fact, I didn’t even get into music until high school and back then I was very close-minded. But even though that was the case, one couldn’t help but be blown away by Michael Jackson. Us youngin’s wouldn’t have Usher, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, or Justin Timberlake without Michael Jackson. I’m in no way comparing any of these artists to the King of Pop, but it just goes to show that there will never be a shortage of new artists trying desperately to imitate the great icon.
Though I’m not lucky enough to have personal stories and memories linked to the Gloved One like Mailo or the peeps on the Enter The Shell Show, I still recognize and truly appreciate the great life that was taken too soon.
Like Mailo said before, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Michael Jackson but no one can deny the imprint he left on this world.
