La Femme – “Sur La Planche”

Sounding like surf rock straight out of an episode of “The Munsters,” La Femme gives us “Sur La Planche” for this week’s Free Download.

These Paris rockers are set to release their debut EP on Dec. 13 and are preparing us with this creepy track that brings up visions of night surfing under the bright lights of the stars and above the ominous lights of the moon reflecting off the ocean. Yet somehow, it still makes you want to get up on your surfboard and dance.

Full of those lightly distorted twangy and wah-wah’d guitars you hear so often in surf rock, claps and mysterious French singing, this song will definitely peak your curiosity. They’ll cure your itch if you let them, as they are set to embark on a California coast tour throughout December.
