What The Music?! Vol. # 35

In this episode of “What The Music” we’re cracking open the computer and playing some submissions you sent in!

Here’s who we played:

Polar Klub – The Devil (Lives in My Flat)
So The Devil (Lives in My Flat) has become a hypnotic post-punk track
enriched with psychedelic sounds that shimmers simple and brilliant.

Public Nature – My Friend
Public Nature is a alternative rock band from New York City
with origins in Medellin – Colombia. The band showcases gnarly basslines,
thunderous drums, riffing guitars, catchy melodies and
a peculiar lead singing voice.

Sunlust – Action Figure

Melded together with influences of grunge, garage, punk and alternative rock,
the single itself is more radiant than the sum of its parts β€”
and just as animated.

TeenCanteen – How We Met (Cherry Pie)
β€˜How We Met (Cherry Pie)’ is the lead single from the upcoming album,
and it’s the shimmering ray of sunshine that heralded a warranted buzz
around TeenCanteen when they formed in 2012; that sugar coated indie pop
jangle, the addictive melody and those irrepressible three-part
harmonies wrapped up in a sticky sweet tale of new love.

Distant Voices – Lights Of The City

London indie rock-pop Distant Voices release debut album ‘Long Road to Home’

“There is a range of different feeling tracks on the album – from lively
to melancholy and also psychedelic. They are tied together –
both in terms of the subject matter and also due to the underlying elements
of a retro feel with electronic flavour. It was a lot of fun to make
and is truly inspired by events that really affected me at the time”.
